Linda Kay Plant Garrett, 64, retired project manager with the formerly General Dynamics and now Lockheed Martin, passed away in Abilene on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Godley Cemetery, Godley. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. prior to graveside service at Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Funeral Home.
Linda was born to L.B. and Beatrice Whitaker Plant on Feb. 21, 1948, in Fort Worth. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bill W. Garrett, in 2003 and her father.
Survivors: Mother, Beatrice Read of Abilene; cousins, Diane Hood and husband, Mike, of North Richland Hills; lifelong friends, Jan and Jim Myrow of Fort Worth; other cousins, Peggy Alexander of Azle, Jim Wood of Azle and Dana Whitaker of Dallas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
