Doris E. Hill, 87, Chanute, Kansas, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at Chanute HealthCare.
She was born Oct. 26, 1917, near Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of William I. and Ida May (Ellis) Hill.
The family moved to Gas, Kansas in 1919. She later moved to Iola in 1925, and then to Chanute in 1928.
She worked at Model Laundry, and Peoples Cleaners prior to working for Haywood Company. She was employed there until it closed in Aug. 1978.
She was a charter member of the Church of God, Chanute, KS.
Survivors include two nephews, Larry Hill, of Chanute, KS, and Robert Hill, of Morris, IL.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Healing Center Church of God, led by the Rev. Charles Crissy. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
Memorials to the Healing Center Church of God may be sent to the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
