After graduating from the eighth grade at Lawn Ridge School, south of St. Francis, KS, Dale went to work on a farm with his dad. In 1945 he joined the U. S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a farmer who enjoyed fishing,hunting and bowling. He died in 2010 and was survived by a son, two daughters, five grandsons and four great grandchildren.
