Alois A. Matulka, 83, of David City died Wednesday, July 4, at St. Joseph's Villa. Mr. Matulka was born May 4, 1918, at Dwight to Frank and Anna (Bartek) Matulka. He graduated from Assumption High School in Dwight. He married Mildred (Bures) Sedlacek August 15, 1986, in David City. He lived in the Dwight area and in David City since 1986. He was a retired farmer and cattle feeder. He was a former member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. Survivors include his wife, one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Ann of David City, one sister, Agnes Bohuslavsky of David City one' stepson and wife, Gary and Judy Sedlacek of Boulder, Colorado, one stepdaughter and husband, Cindy and Brad Behmer of Kansas City, Missouri, six step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank and Sylvester and three sisters, Katherine Kliment, Antionette Fiedler and Marcella Furasek. Services were held Saturday, July 7, at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Loras Grell officiating, Burial was at the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Behmer, Bob Ray, Kenneth Bohuslavsky, Don Bohuslavsky, Richard Semrad, and Dan Matulka. Memorials may be given in care of the family. Arrangements were made by Roberts Funeral Home of David City.
