Robert F. Alexander

Mr. Robert F. Alexander, age 92, of Owenton passed away, Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Owenton Manor.

Born February 25, 1920, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Marshall James and Ethel Louise Becker Alexander. He was also the widower of August Gulley Minch Alexander. Mr. Alexander attend the University of Louisville where he played football, was a member of the Squiresville Baptist Church, a farmer and a fork lift drive for Dow Corning.

Surviving are his son, Jimmy (Belinda) Alexander of Worthville; his stepchildren, Joel, Brent, Melinda, Barbara, Rita and Danny; his five grandchildren, Aaron, Andy, Michelle, Angela and Doug; ten great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday from 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Craig Howard presiding. Burial will be in the Squiresville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Squiresville Baptist Church.
