Services for Patricia Lee Horne of Greenwood will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Horne, 20, died in the line of duty serving the U.S. Army on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Destiney Bagram, Afghanistan.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church and was an honor society member in science and math. She loved singing, dance, music, watching movies and drawing.
She is survived by her adopted mother, Betty L. Horne of Greenwood; her birth mother, Doretha Ann Minor Coleman of Opelousas, La.; four sisters, Aleisha Horne of Fayetteville, N.C., Charleta B. Horne of Greenwood, Alexis Marie Coleman of Opelousas, La., and Angelique D. Willis of Chicago; and two brothers, Ronald A. Horne and Sidney J. Horne, both of Greenwood.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home, and family hour will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. The body will be at the church from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
