Elsie Crail, 94, of Charleston died at 1:15 a.m. Friday (Aug. 24, 2012) at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Convalescent Center.
She was born on December 19, 1917 in Arcola, Illinois to Clarence and Minnie Lytle Thompson. She married Dorsey O. "Doc" Crail on March 27, 1937 in Charleston. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, George Crail; a grandchild; a great-great-grandchild and two brothers, Lowell Thompson and Donald Thompson.
She is survived by her children, David Crail; Donna Helton and husband Jack; Natalie Miller and husband Donn; K. Sue Biggs and husband Garry and Emily Pekara and husband Gus; a stepson, Richard Crail; a daughter-in-law, Judy Crail; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
