Mary Louise (Robinson) Snyder, 91, of Ellwood City, formerly of Delmont, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Ellwood City Hospital. She was born June 5, 1921, in Grafton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clifton and Hazel Phillips Blackman Robinson. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and also an Avon representative. Mary was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Delmont. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, James S. Snyder; and sister, Juanita Edwards. Mary will be dearly missed and is survived by her loving family; sons, James J., of Los Gatos, Calif., Gary L., of Ellwood City, and Robert C., of Sugar Grove; daughter, Linda J. Burns, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Jean Moats, of Fresno, Calif., Joan Soliorio, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Dorothy Holt, of Aliquippa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. A funeral service for Mary will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, immediately following visitation. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
