Linda Landry Simien, 53, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Satur-day, Oct. 30, in Our Lady Queen of Angels in Opelousas. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi and Deacon Jerome Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery in Opelousas under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, 817 E. South St., Opelousas. Visitation is 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday, with rosary at 10 a.m., in the funeral home.

Mrs. Linda was employed by Williams Progressive Life Insurance Company as head computer operator for more than 30 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife of 33 years; a loving and compassionate mother, who was always filled with advice; and a grandmother to one grandson known as " Granna. "

Linda was a cherished member of the Pilgrimage Group, Religious Ramblers. She traveled with this group on three different occasions. First in October 1977 to Our Lady of the Angels Monastery and EWTN in Birmingham, Ala.; then in August of this year she joined the " Ramblers " on a trip which took them to places in Arkansas, Northern Missouri and Oklahoma. Linda will be remembered by the group as a very good example to all while quietly making rosaries for anyone who asked for one. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Simien Sr. of Opelousas; son, Albert Simien Jr. of Lafayette; daughter, Tammie Warren (Derrick) of Lafayette; father, Wilson Landry Sr. of Lawtell; one grandson, Derrick Warren Jr. of Lafayette; five brothers, Albert Landry Sr. of Lake Charles, Wilson Landry Jr. and Paul Landry, both of Opelousas, Farrell Landry of Lake Charles, and Kary Landry of Bossier City; one sister, Barbara Citizen of Lake Charles; and three stepbrothers, Naton Patin, Melvin Patin and Clifford Patin, all of Opelousas.

Mrs. Simien was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Landry; two brothers, Larry Dale Landry and Baby Landry; and one sister, Judy Ann Landry.
