Stanley "Stan" J. Richter, age 72, of Rosholt, WI, passed into the light on Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at Wausau Hospital.

Funeral Mass held at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiated. Burial held in the parish cemetery. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home.

Mr. Richter was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Rosholt, WI, son of the late Felix and Genevieve (Kruzitski) Richter. He entered the U.S. Army on March 24, 1953, in Milwaukee. He served as a private first class with the 81st Chemical Division during the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on March 2, 1955, at Fort Sheridan, IL.

Stan was married to Patricia Dulak on April 25, 1959, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, WI. After their marriage, they settled in Rosholt, living in the area the past 47 years. He was a milk hauler for more than 50 years, retiring in 1997. In 1969 he joined Weyauwega Milk Products and hauled milk for 28 years for the company. Stan was a member of American Legion Post 509 of Rosholt, and St. Adalbert's Men's Rosary Society.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tom (Lori), Mark (Radica) and Bill (Rosy), all of Rosholt; three daughters, Lisa (Dale) Zick and Lynn (Joe) Wiggins, both of Rosholt, and Amie (Jason) Gagas, Custer; one brother, Ray (Ramona), Rosholt; four sisters, Virginia Karpinski, Stevens Point, Lorraine Fenske, Port Edwards, Florence (Steve) Soik, Milwaukee, and Gladys (John) Yenter, Rosholt; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary and Kathleen; and several brothers.
