Mary's tombstone reflects the Anglicizing of her name to Mary Engard. She is listed here by her given name. She and her husband Peter Tribble Engard are buried adjacent to her parents, reflected in links, below.

Mary and her husband were married 11 Nov. 1798 at St. Michael's Lutheran in Germantown.

The story of her siblings is gradually being reconstructed and reported on Mary's mother's memorial. Locations:

Andrew # -- Andrew Redheifer [ 1 "F" but spellings vary a lot ]
died 1817 [ differs from 1812 date cited in memorial ]
(also a Revolutionary War marker)

left side, row 14, grave 7

Ann # -- Ann Redheifer
died 1797

left side, row 14, grave 6 (Peter and Mary are graves 5 and 4)

As shown in the photos here, Mary and Peter's gravestones were cleaned in 2012 as a public service by someone who specializes in that care. (provider's name to follow, if can.)

An obituary clipping (unsourced, undated so far), but in newspaper image form rather than transcription, cites this for her, which matches known facts from other sources about her:

(Redifer descendants have several clippings or transcriptions of clippings of obituaries for their family members from this era that read in this identical style, but are similarly unsourced/undated in the surviving notes about them. Help identifying this source near the Whitemarsh area by style would be appreciated.)

ENGARD--On the 7th instant, MARY ENGARD, in the 80th year of her age.

Her relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of her son-in-law, Emannel [ sic - should be Emmanuel ] C. Wetz, Whitemarsh, Montgomery county, on Friday morning, the 10th inst, at 10 o'clock.

Mary and Peter's daughter Sarah married Emmanuel C. Wentz, and the widowed Mary lived with Sarah and Emmanuel for years, according to a mixture of records.

Mary's younger brother John Redifer Sr. (see links from their mother Anna Barbara Rubinkam Redheifer) named one of his sons Levi Wentz Redifer - as a cousin to Mary's daughter Sarah who married Emmanuel Wentz, son of Levi and Ann Redifer Wentz. It is not yet clear from which Redifer that Ann Redifer Wentz descends. But her genealogy will tie to the same immigrant duo of brothers Andreas (father of Andrew Jr.) and David (who then went to Virginia).

Mary's sister-in-law Catherine married Jacob Haupt (# 21393069), who was involved in a scuffle involving inter-related Redheifers, Haupts and Engards, including (apparently, deductively -- because multiple people had identical names) Mary and John's eldest brother, Charles. [Earlier confusion on the several Catherine Engards also has been clarified to show she was this Peter's sister.]
