Mrs. Clara Spang, 72, of 466 W. Scott St., died at 3:10 p.m. Monday at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born April 18, 1897, in the Town of Woodville, a daughter of Peter and Margaret Rath Benzschael. She was married to Peter Spang on June 18, 1920, at St. John Church, Woodville.
Mrs. Spang was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.Survivors include her widower; three sons, Ralph, Cyril and Matthew Spang, all of the city; five daughters, Mrs. Linus Bartelt of the city, Mrs. Lesley Pierce of Sheboygan, Mrs. Ben Hoover of Markesan, Mrs. Wallace Rudolph of Ripon and Mrs. John Drehmel of Marblehead; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Peter Benzschael of Greenleaf.
She was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter.
Funeral services will be held at 9:3 a.m. Thursday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church with the Rev. Donald Peters officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lynus Bartelt, Wallace Rudolph, Ben Hoover, Wesley Pierce, Ron Fleischman and John Drehmel.
