See Indiana death certificate #34147. Died at Johnson County Memorial Hospital. His father was John H. George and his mother was Eliza White. His usual residence was RR#1, Bargersville, Johnson County, Indiana. He had lived in Indiana for 12 years prior to his death. The informant on the DC was his son, Jesse George of Bargersville, IN. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. The body was removed to Oak Grove, Missouri for burial.

Obituary "Joseph N. George Dies at Hospital. Brief Rites Set For Wednesday Evening.
GREENWOOD. Nov. 23 - Death came to Joseph N. George, age 88, Tuesday afternoon at 3:25 o'clock in Johnson County Memorial Hospital. He had suffered a fall Thursday, Nov. 10, at the home of his son, Jesse George at Kinder. The body was taken to Burkhart funeral home where brief services will be held Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. Friends may call any time until the funeral hour and are invited to attend the rites. Funeral services will be held in Oak Grove, Mo., Friday with burial there. BORN NEAR OAK GROVE. Mr. George was born near Oak Grove, Nov. 1, 1861, the son of John H. and Eliza White George. He was married to Ellen E. Patton, Dec. 25, 1890. Her death occurred Sept. 27, 1921. He had lived with his son since 1935. Surviving with the son at Kinder is another son, Floyd George, of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Haley Newbanks, of Alatha (sp), Kas.; Mrs. Hubert Dexter, of Kansas City, Mo. Also, three brothers, Dr. Henry George, Arthur George, Kansas City; Gilbert George of Oak Grove, two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Middleton, Oak Grove; Mrs. Jake Carroll, of Bates City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. George was a member of the Old Primitive Baptist Church at Oak Grove."

George, 88, Bargerville, Ind., formerly of Oak Grove, who died Tuesday in a hospital at Franklin, Ind., will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at the Webb chapel, Oak Grove. Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery. Mr. George suffered a hip fracture two weeks ago at the home. He moved from Oak Grove in 1947. He was a retired farmer."
