SMITHVILLE, MO. - Audrey J. (nee: Andersen) Jerdee, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011, in Smithville, Mo. Audrey was born in Corliss, now known as Sturtevant, on July 9, 1923, the daughter of the late James and Mary (nee: Reid) Andersen. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School and a former member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Audrey was united in marriage to James Jerdee for more than 60 years. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and traveling with her husband throughout the United States, Scotland, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Canada. As a couple, Audrey and James spent many years between Lyndon Station and Mesa, Ariz. as snowbirds. Audrey is survived by her three children, Kai (Debbie) Jerdee of Racine, Vaughn (Ralph) Running of Smithville, Mo., and David (Shawna) Jerdee of Arizona; and six grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Heth, Cara Jerdee, Christopher (Katie) Running, Craig Jerdee, Destiny (Adam) Jerdee, and Davis Jerdee. She is further survived by six great-grand- children, Cassandra, Amaya, Nevaeh, Jessie, Aubri, and Honor. Also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Rick Green of Racine; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends in Racine, Arizona, and Missouri. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, James on September 26, 2008; one son, James Jerdee Jr.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Johanna and Alan Haigh. Memorial services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Walter Hermanns officiating. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
