A Delaware County native, Mrs. Heaton had been assistant superintendent of God's Bible School in Cincinnati for 15 years and later worked as a nurse in Muncie.
She was a member of Union Grove Brethren Church, and a member of the Union Grove Ladies Aid and the Center Chapel Ladies Aid.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ina Stradling and Mrs. Eva Cassell, both of Muncie; a stepson, Leo Heaton, Muncie; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Lota Lawhorn, Pennville, Mrs. Mirly Ireland, Muncie, Mrs. Pirly Conn, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Bernice Conn, Muncie; and two brothers, Toby Lewis, Muncie, and Leonard Lewis, Albany.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Merle Rummel officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Eaton. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday or prior to the service Wednesday.
