FLOYDADA - Graveside services for Herschel Dale Hammonds, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Floydada Cemetery with the Rev. James M. Hunton, pastor of La Sierra Baptist Church in Riverside, Calif., officiating.
Burial arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammonds died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in Floydada Rehabilitation Care Center.
He was born May 20, 1913, in Floydada where he attended schools. He was a retired farmer and a former member of the Masonic Lodge 712 in Floydada. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Hunton of Riverside; two brothers, Ralph Hammonds of Dallas and Jim Hammonds of Los Altos, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Floydada Rehabilitation and Care Center, 925 W. Crockett, Floydada, TX 79235, or to Gideon´s International c/o Jerry Etter, 1210 19th St., Lubbock, TX 79401.
