Daughter of John Henry and Mary Young Wilcox. Married Herbert Steven Day March 8, 1877. Moved to Moab 1882 from Mt Pleasant in a covered wagon pulled by oxen. They resided at Moab for a number of years and Mr Day operated a small grist mill run by water power on Mill Creek just east of town. Later the family homesteaded on Wilson Mesa and for many years resided there in the summers coming to Moab for the winters. Mrs Day resided here continuously until last July when she went to Lehi to reside with a daughter, Mrs Pluma Zufelt. Surviving relatives include four sons and three daughters Steven H Day, Moab; Harry A Day, Lehi; John Day, Salt Lake City; George Day, Prescott, Ariz; Mrs Charlotte Williams, Portland, Ore; Mrs Pluma Zufelt, Lehi; Mrs Ethel Rutledge, Moab 48 grandchlldren grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
