Mr. Streckert had been active on his farm and with other business interests until stricken with a heart attack.
Mr. Streckert was born in Eaton in 1885, son of the late Carl and Minnie Streckert. In 1914 he married Miss Ella Holdorf. They located on the homestead farm five miles from Collins.
He was a director of the Collins State bank, treasurer of his local school district, member of the Collins volunteer fire department, and president of the Brotherhood of the Zion church at Reedsville.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Orman of Collins and Edward Jr., on the home farm; three daughters, Mrs. Allan Berge of Manitowoc, Mrs. Leslie Moede of Reedsville and Mrs. Clarence Leys of Sheboygan; brother, John of Long Lake, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Rusch of Rantoul, Wis., Mrs. Robert Dehart of Branch and Mrs. August Busse of Manitowoc.
