OSCAR W. BRATZ

Oscar W. Bratz, age 87, of 410 Springdale Drive, Brillion, died on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at the Chilton Care Center.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1919, in the town of Rockland, son of the late August and Elsie (Schroeder) Bratz. He married Germaine Broehm on Sept. 29, 1948, at Potter. Oscar served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then worked for the Whitehouse Milk Co. in Manitowoc, Highway Motors in Reedsville, and the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Reedsville.
Survivors include his wife: Germaine; three daughters: Judith (Charles) Duchow, Reedsville; Karen Bratz, Brillion; Barbara (Bobby) Brandenburg, Brillion; four grandchildren: Amy (Mark) Ziegler; Brian Duchow; Scott Brandenburg; and Shawn Brandenburg; two great-grandchildren: Nathan and Kaitlyn Ziegler; four step-sisters: Leona Burich, Reedsville; Lydia (Clarence) Kolberg, New Holstein; Hildegarde Schultz, Reedsville; Virginia (Herbert) Maas, Reedsville; a step-brother: August (Ester) Bratz, Appleton; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Lucille Wagner; a brother: Harold Bratz; and a stepbrother: John Bratz.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Faith United Methodist Church, 204 Horn St., Brillion. The Revs. Jim Barnes and Kevin Dembinski will officiate. Burial will be at Zion Evergreen Cemetery in Reedsville. Friends may call at the church on Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
