JOHN A. BRATZ

John A. Bratz, age 75, of 3731 Mudcreek Rd. Reedsville, died unexpectedly on
Friday June 20, 2003 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
He was born Nov. 3, 1927 in the Town of Rockland, son of the late August and
Lydia (Jentsch) Bratz. On Sept. 18, 1954 he married Marilyn Drake. He farmed
in the town of Rockland his entire life. He was a member of St. John St. James
Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn, a daughter and son-in-law Dori and Joe Kilgas,
Reedsville; a son Allen, at home; and a grandson Joey; his brothers and sisters
August (Esther) Bratz, Appleton; Oscar (Germaine) Bratz, Brillion; Leona (Adolph)
Burich, Reedsville; Lydia (Clarence) Kolberg, New Holstein; Hildegard (Gilford)
Schultz, Reedsville; Virginia (Herbert) Maas, Reedsville; two sisters-in-law and
a brother-in-law, Helen Bratz, Brillion; and Ed (Margene) Hoefler, Kiel. John was
preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold, sisters-in-law and brothers-
in-law, Emily and Leonard Rusch and Lucille and John Wagner.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24 at St. John St.
James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate.
Burial will be in Zion Evergreen Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville on Tuesday
June 24 from 4 p.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home of
Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
