Note: The spelling of the surname on the marker is Rennard but in all documentation I could find it is Renard which is also what his children used. I looked at the 1920, 1930, 1940 census, as well as many city directories and the spelling is Renard. I have assumed Rennard was the original spelling of the surname and it was changed at some point.

John Renard, 77, of Bell St., died unexpectedly at his home. He had been in ill health for the past year.
He was born September 14, 1863 in Austria-Hungary and had lived in Mansfield the past 25 years. He was a retired cobbler.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Birk, with whom he made his home; two brothers, Frank of Lima and Louis in Austria; five grandchildren. Funeral will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
