WILLIAM YANCE FARNSWORTH

William Yance Farnsworth, 70, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.L. Sparkman at 800 Taylor st., at 1:35 p.m. yesterday.

Mr. Farnsworth was born at Greeneville, Tenn., and spent his early life at Bulls Gap. He was married in 1881 to Miss Alice Walker of Greeneville and is survived by his widow and his daughter, Mrs. Sparkman. Mr. and Mrs. Farnsworth have made their home in Bristol with Mrs. Sparkman for four years, while Mr. Farnsworth has been pursuing his vocation of millwright.

A brief funeral service will be held this morning at the home, and the funeral party will leave at 11:30 a.m. for Bulls Gap, where funeral services will be held at the Methodist church at 1 p.m. central time. Interment will be immediately afterward in Jarnigan's cemetery in Morristown.

Active pall bearers: G.D. Almany, George C. Furrow, J.H. McCrary, A.A. Overbay, Harry Piper, W.S. Tankersley.

Honorary pall bearers: J.H. Baker, N.H. Anderson, M.R. Miller, W.K. Vance, Jr., D.D. Vance, J.N. Mooney, J.L. Hicks, of Morristown, Frank Hall nd Ollie Zimmerman of Knoxville, and Charles Worley of Bluff City.
