Civil War Union Army Officer. He served in the 95th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, rising from 1st Sergeant to Lieutenant Colonel and commander of the regiment. He was commissioned Colonel, but was mustered out before the commission could become official. He was brevetted Colonel, US Volunteers.


His death was reported in The Philadelphia Inquirer Sat, Sep 25, 1875 ·Page 4 as having taken place on September 22nd, 1875
