Jeffrey Burton Griggs, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on August 22, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 12, 1956, in Rigby, Idaho to Burton A. Griggs and Vaudis Stewart Griggs. The family lived in Idaho Falls where he attended schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On December 19, 1978, he married Patty Bishop in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. On January 1, 2004, he married Vicki Beckman Calder in Idaho Falls. He worked for Larry Carlson and eventually owned his own business, Griggs Plastering. He later worked for Ker Lumber. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Eagles Lodge.

Jeffrey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, gardening, and especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He was a great Dad and Grandpa.

Survivors are his son, Jake (Celby) Griggs, of Meridian;
his daughter, Aimee (Scott) Anderson, of Draper, UT; stepson: Shawn (Aubrey) Calder, of Terreton; stepdaughter, Frankie Calder, of Menan; brother: Mike (Julie) Griggs, of Idaho Falls; sisters: Debi Alderson, of Idaho Falls, and Janice (David) Hill, of Roy, UT; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Joette.

A gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Elks Lodge, 640 East Elva, in Idaho Falls.
