Howard was the son of the late Howard Sr. and Roberta (Daniels) Dilworth. He was also a graduate of Alvirne High School in 1972.
Howard was very civic minded and served the Hudson community in countless ways throughout his life. He was a volunteer Hudson Fire Fighter for 27 years.
In 1993,he was elected to the budget committee and in 1994 when Hudson switched governing bodies from council to selectmen, Howard was elected as a selectman where he served a three year term.
Howard was one of the founding members of the coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, a watch group for state government matters and was their first vice chairman. Howard was also the president of the Hudson Historical Society from 1992 - 1994 and has been active since and has also been a member of Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) and is on the Executive Board.
Howard is survived by mother, Mary Dilworth of Hudson, NH; a brother Roger Dilworth of Hudson, NH; a sister Deborah Hayes and her husband John of Litchfield, NH; a niece, Sarah Costello and her husband Glen of Londonderry, NH and many dear friends.
