Rick lived for several years in Hobbs, New Mexico where he operated a restaurant and discovered a love for cooking. In time, he returned to Oklahoma and eventually became an electrician for Bob Bartley Electric and later finished his career at Sand Hill Electric.
Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and especially fond of his nieces and nephews. He loved playing Chef on Sundays for the Pratt family gatherings. He was an avid sports fan and one of his last pleasures was watching OSU Cowgirl basketball team OU. He also loved memorizing facts and details and rarely lost, when the family played "Trivial Pursuit". Rick's deep love of his family was exhibited by his family was exhibited by his dedication to preserving traditions such as attending family reunions and making sure everybody attended holiday functions.
He is survived by his father, Clarence Pratt, his two brothers and their wives Dennis and Marcia Pratt, Doug and Sandra Pratt of Ardmore, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his sister Vonda Hadley of Lindsay, Oklahoma, his sister Connie Avance and husband Dennis of Lindsay, and sister Ronda and husband Brent, also of Lindsay. His favorites were his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews: Nieces and Nephews are Chad and Tammy Allison, Clay Allison, Michael and Melissa Morris, Letha and Jared Householder, Andrea and Waylon Eaton, Ashley Scruggs, Cassie Gordon, Valerie Scruggs, Dee Dee Neldon, Brian Avance, Justin Avance, Candace and Reggie Bridgman, Ashlynn Beverly and Lauren Beverly. Great nieces and nephews are Alyssa Allison, Tanner Allison, Ellanee Allison, Abbee Allison, Melodee Allison, Ethan Morris, Emma Morris, Kendal Morris, Savannah Householder, Zachary Householder, Lily Eaton, Bella Eaton, Caiden Coleman, Hannah Coleman, Tara Fivecoat, Miranda Fivecoat, Miranda Fivecoat, Lexie Avance, Nicholous Avance, Brandon Neldon, Daegen Neldon, Ashlynn Avance, Lex Carlton.
