Born Oct. 5, 1914, in Garrett County, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Inez (Minnick) McKenzie. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Rush; one son, Robert Rush; six brothers, one sister; and one brother-in-law, Joseph McKenzie, who died April, 2000.
Mrs. Rush was a retired seamstress at the Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville. She was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Carlene McKenzie, Zihlman, Shirley Brant and husband William, Beall School Road, and Linda Pifer and husband Elmer, Vale Summit Road; three sons, Anthony Rush and wife Gail, Churchton, Leon Rush and wife Rose, Consol, and Curtis Rush and wife Ramona, Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Blanche Spiker, Frostburg Village Nursing Home, and Pearl Garlitz, Avilton; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her body was cremated.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. T. William Preston officiating.
Inurnment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers and/or food, the family requests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
