Daniel I Miles
Daniel I. Miles, 75, of 511 Berlin, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Memorial
Hospital, South Bend, following a long illness. He was born on March 6, 1902,
in South Bend, and lived in the area all his life. In 1966 he retired from the
Dodge Division of Reliance Electric Co. He also worked for 15 years at the
Indiana Lumber Co.
On Oct. 25, 1924, in South Bend, Miles married Vera Bird, who survives. Also
surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George (Goldie) Roush of Anaheim, Calif.,
Mrs. James W. (Fern) McGowan of Atwater, Calif., and Mrs. George (Lois) Darling
of Trinidad, Tex.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Mrs. Howard Konkle of Lakeville, and Mrs. Joseph Lowe of Glendale,
Calif.; and two brothers, Ira of Mishawaka and Roy of South Bend. Friends may
call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb
Funeral Chapel. Miles was a member of the Milburn Boulevard Church of Christ
and South Bend Lodge 29, Odd Fellows, South Bend.

Services for David (sic) I Miles, 75, of 511 Berlin, who died at 9:30 a.m.
Friday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Bubb
Funeral Chapel. Tim Storms, pastor of the Milburn Boulevard Church of Christ,
will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
