By the 1880 census Thomas had married Mary Hannah (Carter)and they were living with his parents in Platteville township, Mills County, Iowa. The ensuing years the following children were born to the couple:
Lavina May Lincoln 1880 – 1953,
Minnie Maud Lincoln 1884 – 1885
Elmer Sanford Lincoln 1886 – 1976
Grace Vivian Lincoln 1895 – 1895
When Mary passed away March 7th of 1907 the family was living in Platteville township, Mills County. Children, Minnie and Grace preceded her in death. She was buried in the Glenwood Cemetery, Mills County, Iowa.
