Barbara Jean Ritchie Maines,
63 of Winchester, widow of Joseph Maurice Maines, passed away on Thurs., Sept. 2, 2010 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Mrs. Maines was born in Winchester on Sept. 6, 1946 to the late Levi and Cordillia Johnson Ritchie. She was a kitchen supervisor for the Salvation Army and a member of the America Legion Post 341, the Senior Trotters of Lexington, the VA Volunteers Association and the Salvation Army Church.

Survivors include, 3 sons, Rick Maines of TN, Darrell Maines of Lexington, and Keith Maines of PA; 2 daughters, Teri Maines of Wellsville, NY and Angela Maines of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sun., Sept. 5 at Scobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army, 736 W. Main St., Lexington, KY 40508.
