".....His wife, Maria Enos Johnson, is buried in Sims Cemetery, but the headstone (placed by a great uncle in the 1950's) states that Hiram was "Buried at Gettysburg". Neither the National Cemetery nor the private cemetery at Gettysburg list Hiram's name in their records. He may be buried there as an "Unknown". So in fact, his burial site is unknown. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Payne's Farm on Nov 27, 1863 and died a day or two later."
