LOIS HOYT (BASON) HUNT, was born 7 Mar 1897 in Cromwell, Union, Iowa, the first child of Richard Henry Bason (1873-1902) and Nellie Mae (Whittlesey) Bason (1873-1950). She had two younger brothers, Lloyd Francis Bason (1900-1967) and Richard Henry Bason, Jr. (1902-1990). In 1905, after her father's death in 1902, she went to live in Salem, Oregon, with her grandmother, Jemima (Julien) Bason (1841-1940) and her aunt, Constance Olive Bason (1881-1961) and did not see her mother again until she was 18 when she returned to Iowa.
On 27 Aug 1919, she married Francis Edgar "Frank" Hunt (1899-1967) in Creston, Iowa. To them were born four children: Marie Ferne (1919-2005), Douglas Richard (1921-2010), Guy Francis (1927-2003) and Jack D (1931-).
After farming for a brief time in Union County, Iowa, they settled in Canyon County, Idaho. She died there at age 35 on 16 Mar 1932 and is buried in Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Canyon, Idaho.
On 27 Aug 1919, she married Francis Edgar "Frank" Hunt (1899-1967) in Creston, Iowa. To them were born four children: Marie Ferne (1919-2005), Douglas Richard (1921-2010), Guy Francis (1927-2003) and Jack D (1931-).
