Cyrus Chase was born in Sutton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, May 12 1790. His parents were Issac Chase and Elizabeth Yates. Cyrus is the brother of Eunice Chase (memorial # 85035051). Cyrus moved to Pittsford, Vermont in February 1798. In 1811 Cyrus lost a leg to “a white swelling”. Cyrus was a shoemaker. He was described as “still quite vigorous”.
