J. H. Wiederhold Dead
Joe H. Wiederhold, East South avenue, died Monday afternoon 4:20 o'clock t St. Mary's hospital after a sickness of two weeks.
Funerals services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock t the Sacred Heart church and burial will be in Maydale, Kan Rosary will be said at the home 1 1/2 miles east on South avenue Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock by the Rev. Ferdinand Nirmaier. The casket will be open at the home until the time of the funeral.
Mr. Wiederhold was born August 1, 1878 at Carroll, Iowa, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wiederhold. He came to Lyon county in 1902 and married Rose Scheve in June, 1905 at Maydale. He moved to Emporia in February 1943. He was a member of the Catholic church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, John A. Wiederhold and Joe E. Wiederhold, McPherson; three daughters, Miss Louise Wiederhold, at home; Mrs. A.H. Lenninger, Hamilton; and Mrs. Orville Hensley, Madison; four brothers, John Wiederhold, Huron, S.D. ; Bill Wiederhold, Custer, S.D.; Ed Wiederhold, Yankton, S.D.; and George Wiederhold, Sioux Falls, S.D.; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Horn, Sioux City, Iowa, and five granddaughters. Two sisters, Mrs. Al Dinan and Mrs. Roy Supile, and three children preceded him in death.
