Deseret News - Oct. 30, 2001

Patricia Morgan, age 47, died peacefully from complications extendinf from pneumonia on Oct. 27, 2001 in Saslt lake City, Utah.

She was born on May 26, 1954 also in Salt Lake City to John and Daisy Morgan. Patricia was lovingly known as Pattie, Patsy, Petunia or Trish. She spent her early childhood in Bountiful where she was encouraged in music and the arts. She graduated from East High School in 1972 and attended the University of Utah, where she studied music and cretive writing. Pattie became an accomplished violinist and writer and had a passion for the sport of tennis.

In a life too short, we will all feel the loss of her wit, her intelligence, her kindness, her beauty and her love. We will also feel the loss of the enlightenment of her artistic sensibility and her capacity for understanding the subtlety of life. Pattie loved the splendor of nature and found inner peace hiking and climbing the majesetic mountains that surrounded her home. We will find that same strength in these mountains as the memory of Pattie lives on in the hearts of all of us that loved her.

Pattie was preceded in death by her best friend and brother, John in 1978. His death had a profound impact on her life. She is survived by her parents, John and Daisy Morgan of Salt Lake, her sisters, Victoria Morgan (Mark C. Jones) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Anne Morgan-Jespersen (Roy S. Jespersen) of Salt Lake. She is also survived by her loving aunts, uncles and friends who stood vigil by her side in life and in death.

In a note to a friend, Pattie left us with this blessing, "May it all happen, May the Stars watch over you." - Love Trish.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001 at 1:30 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 1750 East 3300 South.
