She is survived by her children Scott Manning and his wife Teri, Corey Manning and his wife Darci and Dawn Manning and her husband Tom; also survived by her brother Ronald Pfuhl of New York and nine beloved grandchildren and one great grandchild, Brandon, Krystle, Cody, Whitney, Blake, Jacob, Jordan, Cole, Quinn and Megan.
Diane was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 21, 1940. She moved to California in 1977 with her family and founded Chateau Diana Winery in Healdsburg with her late husband in 1981. Together they created a beautiful Family Estate where they worked and lived. Diane was extremely involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren, never missing an important moment in their life. She was very proud of their accomplishments and always encouraged them to follow their dreams and goals. She was a teacher and a mentor. Her love of travel and exploring the world led her to such places as Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. She enjoyed experiencing the different cultures and often brought their traditions and values to her family.
After retirement, Diane became very active volunteering her time at Sutter VNA & Hospice, chairing several events. She especially loved working on the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Something she organized two years ago. Yoga, acupuncture and all things holistic helped feed Diane's spiritual side. Diane found meaning and beauty in all of nature and taught her children the same.
Diane fought a courageous battle with cancer for almost three years. Although one would never know that she was sick because of her strength and beauty. She led her life with grace, elegance and dignity and is how she will be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
