Obituary
Ruth Chappell
Funeral services for Ruth M. Chappell of Oklahoma City, formerly of El Reno, were held today in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Caldwell of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the El Reno Cemetery.
Mrs. Chappell died Sunday at Baptist Retirement Center in Oklahoma City. She was born May 21, 1912, in El Reno. She was a graduate of El Reno High School and attended OCW College in Chickasha. She was a farmerβs wife and homemaker. She was a lifetime El Reno area resident before moving to Las Vegas and Piedmont and then Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church in Las Vegas and attended the Christian Church of El Reno. She had been a member of the Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Betty Ann) Sherwin of Piedmont and Mrs. Jess (Mary Ellen) Hembree of Gore; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
