Carol Ihm Jensen passed away Aug. 20, 2012. She was preceded in death by brother, William Ihm; paternal grandparents, Joseph Ihm, Enid Kenefick Ihm; maternal grandparents, William Breyer and Emma Henschke Breyer. Survived by husband, Laurence Jensen, M.D.; children, Ryan (Cristel Cortes Servin) Joseph Jensen of Pueblo, Colo., Casey Michael Jensen of Long Beach, Calif.; parents, Joseph and Delilah Ihm of Omaha, Neb.; and brother, Bruce Ihm of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Carol was a special ed teacher for crippled and other health-impaired children in Omaha, prior to her marriage to Laurence; she worked for a time with the sheriff's department teaching GED classes to inmates at the Pueblo County jail. Carol's hobbies were counted cross stitch and knitting. She was a loving wife, mother and had a motley crew consisting of classmates and friends of her boys whom she treated like her own and who considered her family. At Carol's request, there will be no viewing. Celebration of her life will be held, at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers/food, donations may be made in Carol's honor to St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD 57326, (605) 234-3300. Arrangements by Adrian Comer Funeral Home.
