Elna Chloe Jackson Poulson passed away October 1, 2004, in Yakima, Washington. Elna had moved to Yakima five years ago to be close to her daughter. Elna was born January 21, 1930 in Roosevelt, Utah the second child of Thomas and Cordia Jackson. The family later moved to Sandy, Utah. Elna graduated from Granite High School, and attended the University of Utah, where she met her husband, Robert Poulson. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. Elna was a kind and gentle person. She enjoyed gardening, animals, quilting, cooking and especially her family. Her homemade candy was treasured by friends and family at holiday time. Elna spent many happy hours hiking and snowshoeing in her beloved Wasatch Mountains. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Doug) Fairchild, of Selah, Washington. In addition, she issurvived by three granddaughters, Heather (Brian) Zindel of Seattle, Washington, Kimberly (Blake) Cruzen and Jennifer Fairchild; and two great grandchildren, all of Selah, Washington. Elna is also survived by three sisters, Leah (Jim) O'Neal, Carma (Clyde) Child, and Renae (Jay) Woodard, all of Utah; as well as many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Julie Kaufman of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Barbara; her son-in-law, Fred Fox; her parents; her sister, Elaine Smart; and her brother, Wendell Jackson. Elna will be laid to rest next to her husband and parents Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah.
