Orin Willis George, age 79, of Kanosh, passed away October 5, 2004 in the Fillmore Hospital. He was born October 8, 1924 in Kanosh, UT to Weldow and Mable Gardner George. Orin attended Millard High School in Fillmore, UT. He married Madge Cluff on February 28, 1944, later sealed in the Manti Temple, November 3, 1990. They were married for 60 years.He was a member of the LDS church and served in many capacities. He served a mission at Cove Fort, UT, worked as the stake dance director, and served on the activities committee. Orin served his country in the U.S. Army in the 340th Engineers at Luzon from 1944 to 1946. Orin was a Past Master and a member of the Masons in St. George. Orin loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working in his garden and always had plenty of vegetables to share with friends and family. He is survived by his wife; son, Harold (Cindy) George, Alhambra, CA; sisters, Leah, Laura and Lola; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Orin is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two sisters; sons, Gardner, Neil, and Chris George. Funeral services held Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Olpin Southern Utah Mortuary.
