Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native J.W. Cantrell, age 65, was born July 25, 1947 and died August 20, 2012 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, TN following an extended illness.

An employee of Carrier Corporation, United States Army veteran of Vietnam, and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late James Walling and Wanda Lee Coots Cantrell.

He was married to Brenda Blaylock Cantrell of Morrison, TN.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mystie (Bill) Fults of McMinnville and Shanna Cantrell of Morrison, TN; three grandchildren, Ryne Fults, Katelyn Fults and Abie Griffith; five brothers, Ernest Cantrell of McMinnville, Billy Cantrell of Woodbury, TN and Donald Cantrell, Michael Cantrell and Bobby Cantrell all of Houston, TX; two sisters, Linda Wessels and Betty Valles both of Houston, TX and several nieces and nephews.


Burial will follow in the Walling Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
