SMYRNA MILLS - Philip Armour, 94, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at his home in Smyrna Mills, where he had lived for the past 46 years. He was born March 3, 1911, at Maplehurst, New Brunswick, one of the 12 children of Samuel and Fannie (Barker) Armour.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Catherine (Grant) Armour of Smyrna Mills; a sister, Audrey Collins of White rock, B.C.; two brothers, Richard and sister-in-law, Dorothy, of Qualicum Beach, B.C., and Lewis of Woodstock; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Yvette Grant of Grafton; his three children, Elizabeth Taylor and her husband, Lawrence, of Castro Valley, Calif., Elwood and his wife, Alice, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and John Mark and his wife, Mary, of Oakfield; nine grandchildren, William, Sarah and Matthew Immel of California, Philip Armour of Washington, D.C., James and Michael Armour of Michael Armour of Michigan, John Armour of West Virginia, Emily and Angeline Armour of Oakfield; numerous nieces and nephews. Philip was a member of the Smyrna Mills United Methodist Church where he had been a trustee for a number of years.

Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main St., Woodstock, N.B., with visiting 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday (Atlantic Time). Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. (Atlantic Time) Thursday, from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marilyn Rohdin will be officiating, with interment in the McKenzie Corner United Church Cemetery.
