(April 19, 1926 - August 17, 2012)

Herman Adams age 86, of Nicholls died Friday August 17th, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee County, the son of the late Homer Adams and Bertie Spivey Adams and was also preceded in death by a son Tedrick Gordon Adams, a twin brother Homer Adams, and 2 sisters Wannie Nemsick and Vina Lynch. Herman was retired from CSX, was a lifelong farmer, a veteran of WWII while serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of Nicholls Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Wynell Cliett Adams, 2 sons Michael Herman Adams and wife Michelle of Douglas, John Lawrence Adams and wife Diane of Nicholls. 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 o'clock at Nicholls Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Meeks Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 o'clock to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be John, Herman, Michael, Jason, Casey, and Lawrence Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Autry Merritt, Milford Anderson, Mickey Anderson, Larry Gunn, Stanley McElroy, Lee Adams, and Kristen Adams.
