Brandon Oliver Stevens, age 23 of Highway 668 died Saturday, August 18, 2012 in a boating accident.
Brandon was born in Conway and was a member of Langston Baptist Church. He was a former Detention Officer at the J Reuben Long Detention Center and was currently employed at Kingston Plantation Resorts. Brandon was predeceased by his great grandmother, Ellen Burton.
Surviving are his parents, Sherri Jones Abernathy and Norman Abernathy and Randy Stevens and Tammy Stevens all of Conway. One brother, River Jones of Conway, five sisters, Cassy Stevens, Victoria Jones and Stephanie Fleming all of Conway, and Erin Abernathy and Katie Abernathy, both of Charlotte, his maternal grandparents, Duane and Claudette Oliver of Conway, his paternal grandparents, Paul and Josephine Stevens of Conway and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday at Langston Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Floyd and Rev. John Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral home, Conway Chapel
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
