MOORESVILLE Lillie "Beatrice" Ball Wilson, 101, of Mooresville, passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Brian Center in Mooresville. She was born in Wilkes County, March 30, 1911 to the late John and Laura Marlow Ball. Ms. Wilson was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a grateful, gracious, kind person. She resided at the Brian Center for the past four years and was a great cook and loved nature and gardening. She was a grandma to everyone and she loved children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Lee Wilson; sons, Ralph Wilson and Richard Lee Wilson; grandson, Ron Wilson; and eight brothers and sisters. Ms. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Shirley Wilson Morales (John); son, Billy Ray Wilson (Debbie); daughter-in-law, Sharon Wilson; sister, Getsy Ball Smithey; brother, Lewis Colin Ball; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends today, Sunday, Aug. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mooresville. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 222 South Church St., Charlotte, NC 28202 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
