Funeral services were conducted Sat. Dec. 2 1961 for Mrs. Olive Mitchell from the DeSantis Funeral Home. The Rev. Edgar Wahlberg from St. Mark's Methodist Church officiating.
Olive O. Mitchell was born near Hancock, Mo. Jan. 13, 1869 and passed away at her home in Detroit, Michigan Nov. 30, 1961, having attained the age of 93 years, 10 mos, and 17 days.
On Jan. 1, 1888 she was united in marriage to William A. Mitchell, and to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, Feb. 26, 1952, and by her son, Herschell Mitchell Oct.22, 1961.
She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Van Loon and Mrs. Nanna Guyer, three grandchildren, ..., six great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, all of Detroit, Michigan.
