Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Monday, November 1, 1937:
   Mrs. Helen B. Evans, wife of Emery Evans, died in Dale, Ind., Saturday morning at 6:40 o'clock at her home. Mrs. Evans was born on Dec. 4, 1909, at Glen Carbon, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Thomas Sedlacek. She married on Sept. 29, 1930. She is survived by her husband and her father, and by two sons, Donald D. and James Thomas Evans. A brother, Leonard, and two sisters, Lillian Sedlacek and Mrs. Sylvia Holman also survive.
   The funeral will be Tuesday afternoon from the Straube Funeral Home at 2 o'clock. Rev. Charles A. Meagher will officiate. Burial will be at Buck Road Cemetery.
