She was born in Cadyville on March 1, 1916, the daughter of Isaac and Nina (Emery) Tamer. Her husband, Elmer H. Fayette, died in 1976.
She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Peru, and a member of VFW Post 125, Plattsburgh Ladies Auxiliary.
She was well-known in the area as a cook and before she became a cook at the Plattsburgh Senior Citizens Nutrition Site, she had owned her own restaurant known as Bea's 4-Corners Restaurant.
Survivors include her two sons, David Fayette of Schuyler Falls and Norman Fayette of Glens Falls; five daughters, Mrs. Adrian (Nancy) LaMar of Peru, Mrs. Rodney (Carol) Kipp of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Clarence (Brenda) LaForest of Chazy, Mrs. Robert (Judith) Bombard of Malone and Consetta Dashnaw of Peru; three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Pauline) Burdick of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Leonard (Bertha) Otten and Mrs. William (Ella) Smith, both of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church in Peru.
The R. W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Tamer and Alzina "Nina" M. Emery Tamer. She had 2 sons and 5 daughters and then began a career working in restaurants. Eventually she had her own restaurant called "Bea's 4 Corners" and served many truckers. When she retired from there, she got a job cooking for senior citizens. She was a great whistler.
