Ludwig Nuenke, 83, of Eagle Point, died at St. Joseph's Hospital here at 3:53 Sunday afternoon.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:10 from the Hogseth Funeral Chapel and at 2:30 from Zion Lutheran Church of which he had been a member since coming here 55 years ago.
Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Pommern, Germany, 1857 and on May 1, 1882, he was married to Marie Ratunde, and they came to America on their honeymoon and settled in Eau Claire. In 1885, they moved to Chippewa Falls where he was employed as a lumber grader until 1911 by the Chippewa Lumber and Boom Company.
His wife died in 1898 and two years later on June 15, 1900 he married again to Sophie Simmon and she died in 1932.
A son died in 1915.
Two sons, Carl of Colfax and William of Chicago and three daughters Mrs. Leo Flug of Eagle Point; Mrs. Ben Harling of Knapp, and Mrs. George Cook of Berkeley, California survive.
For nine years, he was an elder of Zion Lutheran Church here for 2 years a trustee, for 5 years secretary and for 2 years treasurer.
