Twila Brungardt, 77, Victoria, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at her home.

She was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Hays to Richard Roth and Mary (Mermis) Roth-Wellbrock. She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High, Hays, and attended Marymount College, Salina.

She married Frank C. Brungardt on Oct. 17, 1953, in Hays. She was a licensed insurance agent and owner, with her husband, at F&M Insurance in Victoria until retirement in 2010.

She was a member of USD No. 432 school board and St. Fidelis Church Parish Council, both of Victoria. She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, all of Victoria.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; five daughters, Mary Beth Stern, Phoenix, Margaret Gifford and husband, Wayne, Wichita, Marla Robben and husband, Rick, Walker, Melaine Collins and husband, Terry, Litchfield Park, Ariz., Melissa Haley and husband, Keith, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a sister, Elgerine Wayne, Panama Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Donna Roth, Marion, Iowa; a stepbrother, Gene Wellbrock and wife, Joan, Victoria; four step-sisters, Arlene Pfeifer and husband, Al, Gladys Pfeifer and husband, Dale, all of Victoria, Mary Lou Mirkovich, Bainbridge Island, Wash., and Rose Ann Welser and husband, Hal, Moline, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Thomas and (Amy) Stern, Meghan and Mark Stern; Travis and Troy Prosser, Brandon, Clayton and Jordan Robben, Morgan and Daniel Collins, and Madison Haley; four step-grandchildren, Lance and Clinton Gifford, Breanna and (Kevin) Oliver, and Kristjan Haley; a great-grandchild, Joseph Robben; and two step-great-grandchildren, Bobbi Gifford and Brodie Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Delbert Roth; her stepfather, George Wellbrock; and a stepbrother, Varian Wellbrock.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.
